The 10th Options for the Control of Influenza (Options X) conference featured a dialogue co-hosted by Sabin and Flu Lab with representatives of industry, government, universities and philanthropy.

Participants explored the role of interdisciplinary discussions, data sharing and flexible and targeted funding in universal influenza vaccine development.

The 10th Options for the Control of Influenza (Options X) conference presented an opportunity to discuss the recommendations laid out in the Sabin-Aspen Vaccine Science & Policy Group Report.

Sabin and Flu Lab co-hosted a dialogue among representatives of industry, government, universities and philanthropy around the report’s objectives, particularly enabling collaboration, data sharing, flexible and targeted funding and rallying field-wide and public support behind a UIV.

Participants emphasized the need for interdisciplinary discussions, increased transparency and new incentives and enablers around sharing of research results (including null and negative results).
