The 10th Options for the Control of Influenza (Options X) conference presented an opportunity to discuss the recommendations laid out in the Sabin-Aspen Vaccine Science & Policy Group Report.
Sabin and Flu Lab co-hosted a dialogue among representatives of industry, government, universities and philanthropy around the report’s objectives, particularly enabling collaboration, data sharing, flexible and targeted funding and rallying field-wide and public support behind a UIV.
Participants emphasized the need for interdisciplinary discussions, increased transparency and new incentives and enablers around sharing of research results (including null and negative results).
